When I think back to the beginning of this journey, I realize it started as being a little girl, and loving to color. Nothing made me happier, then getting a new color book, and a box of color crayons. I was not satisfied until every page was colored just perfect. I loved color.
By the time I was ten years old, I wanted to sew. I had to wait until Junior High to make my first apron. Sewing was everything I had dreamed it would be. I have continued to sew throughout my life, adding wedding dresses, suits for my husband, and clothes for my children.
In 1985 I went to my first quilt shop. It was not long before I figured out, this was a perfect match for my interests. 1989 was the first opportunity for me to take a class. Since that time, hardly has a day gone by, that I have not had a needle and thread in my hands. Today, I not only love color, but I am a lover of fabric.
As of the starting of this website (June 2003) I have made 141 quilts. This includes, baby quilts, wall hangings, as well as bed quilts. ( udated December 31, 2008) this number has increased to 210.
( Updated May 20, 2011) this number increased to 224
I only have two regrets.
My grandmother did not live to see my quilts, and I did not start quilting earlier. There are so many quilts that I want to make. I feel now, as I did when I was a child, I will not be satisfied until I color them all.
Quilting is not a hobby for me...it is my passion.
I hope that you enjoy the "Quilt Show"
